The Office of the Attorney General is pleased to present a new Virginia Rules module, in time for the 2024-25 school year. Human Trafficking is written for high school students and focuses on both labor and commercial sex trafficking. Students will learn:
- what human trafficking is;
- Virginia laws related to human trafficking;
- how and where human traffickers operate;
- how to recognize and report the signs of human trafficking;
- how to report human trafficking
- resources for victims; and
- how to stay safe from human trafficking.
“The Attorney General has made it a priority to fight Human Trafficking in all its forms,” said Tanya Gould, Director of Anti-Human Trafficking for the OAG. “This addition to the Virginia Rules, curriculum helps youth understand dangerous of human trafficking, and gives them the tools to recognize and avoid it.”
