Virginia Rules curriculum has been updated to reflect recent changes to Virginia laws; resources and links have been updated as well.
VDOE Superintendent Support for Virginia Rules
In the fall of 2023, current Superintendent of Public Instruction Lisa Coons promoted the Virginia Rules curriculum in her weekly newsletter to school administrators. This echoes the support the Virginia Rules curriculum has received from the beginning. In 2011, then superintendent Patricia Wright issued a Superintendent’s Memo on the Virginia Rules program.
Virginia Rules continues to work with educators and administrators as the program grows.
