Thank you for visiting our Virginia Rules website and for taking an active role in the development of Virginia’s young people. Virginia Rules helps provide character education and teaches children their rights and responsibilities as citizens of the Commonwealth. We hope you find these resources to be helpful and informative.
Virginia Rules is a law-related educational program for middle and high school students and their parents that is facilitated primarily by law enforcement professionals. It provides a basic understanding of state law that governs socially acceptable behavior in the home, in school, and in the community. By educating our students about good citizenship and the consequences of unlawful behavior, we can reduce crime, violence and substance abuse.
Whether you are a parent, a student or a teacher, we value your opinion. Please visit the “Contact Us” page and share any ideas you may have on ways we might improve Virginia Rules.
Thank you for your interest in giving our students more tools to help build a better tomorrow for all Virginians.
