Each year in July we update our Virginia Rules curriculum to reflect the state law changes from the past General Assembly session. In 2018 the following law changes were enacted:

• Grand Larceny: The threshold increased from $200 to $500 for grand larceny (HB 1550/SB 105).
• Student discipline; long-term suspension: The maximum length of a long-term susupension decreased from 364 calendar days to 45 school days (HB 1600).
